A wrong turn into Italy
Not really a wrong turn — we just kept going down the wrong side of the mountain and found ourselves buying coffee in euros. Nobody minded.
A market was packing up in the square. We bought tomatoes we had nowhere to cook and ate them like apples in the car park.

We stayed for dinner
Decided in the car park not to drive back over the pass tonight. There was a room above the restaurant and the restaurant had a menu with four things on it.
We ate all four between the two of us and went to bed in Italy, which was not the plan we left with.
